Anamu (Petiveria alliacea) is a medicinal herb native to the Amazon rainforest. It's also known as garlic weed, kojo root, and gully root. Anamu, a medicinal herb, may help reduce inflammation, improve memory, and reduce anxiety.
It has long been used in folk medicine to boost immunity, fight inflammation and pain, and treat various chronic diseases, including certain cancers. Anamu’s leaves and especially its roots are known for their strong garlic-like odor, which comes from the shrub’s chemical components, mainly sulfur compounds.
Traditionally, its leaves and roots have been used in folk medicine for various purposes, including boosting immunity, fighting cancers, and reducing inflammation and pain. Its potential benefits are believed to stem from its variety of plant compounds, including flavonoids, triterpenes, lipids, coumarin, and sulfur compounds.

Safety and dosage
Anamu can cause intoxication, so it's important to consult a doctor or medicinal plant specialist before using it.
There's limited research on dosage recommendations and few studies on its effects in humans.
The suggested dosage is 1000-1500 mg orally twice daily or as directed by manufacturer.
